Kick it into the net

The big battle of football, FIFA World Cup 2014 began in Brazil with a spectacular ceremony amidst protests for FIFA kind of amenities.
Brazil started with a win which included horrifying self goal against Croatia. There was huge disappointment for Brazilian fans when they lost its finals to Uruguay back in 1950 at home ground. Being hosts with star players like Neymar, they are hot favorites now under stiff competitive shadows rendered by Spain, Argentina and Germany.
Now coming to Brazil, a country which failed to provide basic amenities to people is hosting such a scintillating mega event while all the nations will be looking into Brazil for a period of a month. It is a matter of pride to successfully organize such an event. I hope Brazil will not indulge in any kind of activities like what India had done during Commonwealth games in 2010. (Ha Ha !! There are corruption clouds surrounding Brazilian stadia).

My interest in football took birth while I was listening to heated arguments and trolls going on in my surroundings at Sastra University. La Liga, English Premier League, Bundes Liga etc. made football more popular in India than it was few decades ago. But, in this cricket frenzy nation, football has many hurdles in the long way to leap forward into Indian streets.

Stars to watch in this season are Sergio Aguero, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Wayne Rooney, Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Casillas, Xavi, Fabregas, Torres, Robben and of course No.10 LIONEL MESSI– There are many more but I am familiar with only these names.
I cheer for Argentina and Germany and I look forward to see India at least qualifying for the next world cup.
Die hard fans of football, connoisseurs are expecting a high quality and spectacular shows from their star players.
Come on ra MESSI *********
